Cates Park in North Vancouver. 

I've just launched at Cates`Park [9:30], and am paddling off to Deep Cove. 

Bliss!

There are times when I wish I had a better camera (always!), but especially when a heron presents itself on top of the pilings. 

Entering an area of multi-million dollar homes... and boats (and boat houses, it seems). 

The was a bit of a current near the edge of Grey rock. 

Grey Rock to port and Indian Arm ahead. 

Grey Rock: there was a noticable current due to the outgoing tide. 

Deep Cove ahead: around the point and then to the left. 

One of "hundreds" of private docks along the shoreline. 

Tranquility along Indian Arm. 

Deep Cove to port -- Indian Arm, and a whole lot of adventure, straight ahead. The adventure will have to wait. Today I've just enough time for Deep Cove.
